The villa has been built into the hill for the best thermal/insulation from the heat and cold. The building breathes on its own with natural convection through the thermal air supply built within the landscape.

The roof is covered with nearly a metre of soil, which is now full of wild flowers and thyme bushes. Therefore, making the villa 'invisible' from the top and behind! The only exposed walls are heavily insulated and the windows and doors are protected by a special heat barrier. This keeps the heat out in the summer and once a certain temperature is reached keeps the cold out in the winter.

All the stones for the walls and terraces around the property were excavated from the villa site itself during construction. We harvest the rain water to supply the villa, which is treated and filtered before entering the house. There is storage capacity is sufficient to last the whole year. The water is heated by solar panels and stored in a hot water cylinder. All appliances inside the villa are all A+ or greater and all lighting is high efficient LED bulbs.
