This is a detached two bedroom house n the traditional village of Kasteli, Fourni, Agios Nikolaos, Lasithi, Crete.
The house is just a short stroll from the village main street and from a few nice coffee shops and local taverns.

 

The 120 square meter bungalow stands on a private plot of 800 square meters.
The house comprises 2 double bedrooms, an internal storage room, a bathroom, a large living room, a kitchen and a hall room.
The house is in need of some minor restoration works (mainly of aesthetic nature).

Outside and next to the main house there is a large storage room/utility room (35 square meters).
At the front and back of the house there are mature olive, orange mandarin lemon and other fruit trees.
There is a large flat roof (accessed by a metal external staircase) which could easily be made into a roof terrace with great mountain and nature views.

There is also a private parking space next to the house entrance.

As noted above the house is in need of some works but they are mainly aesthetic (painting decorating, etc).

Within a short drive from Kasteli are the neighbouring village of Fourni (1km0, the small town of Neapolis (5 min drive), the seaside resort of Elounda (15 minute drive) and the seaside town of Agios Nikolaos (20 minute drive).

The international airport of Heraklion, Crete is less than a 40 minute drive from Kasteli, Fourni.

 

Agios Nikolaos is the capital of the county Lasithi and is located at the Mirabello Bay, north-east Crete, only 45 mins away from the international airport of Heraklion.

Geographically the town is well protected from strong winds allowing sea sports and swimming nearly all year round.

Although Agios Nikolaos has a population of less than 20,000 it has several banks, supermarkets, shops of every kind, doctors, a modern hospital of high standard, public swimming pool and tennis courts, yacht marina, harbour, cinema, theatre, gyms, a 9-hole golf course, schools ranging from nurseries to 6-level high school and generally all the amenities you would expect to find in a modern European town.

 

The microclimate is one of the best in Greece and the moderate temperatures rarely exceed 30c in summer or fall below 15c in wintertime. This wonderful dry climate together with the natural beauty of the area has attracted most of the high class hotels of Greece to operate here.
