Son Bou, situated on the South coast is approximately 20 minutes' drive from the airport.
The holiday resort is a mix of private/commercial villas and apartments and some hotels, all built behind the island's longest beach and is part of the municipality district of Alaior. Son Bou has three distinct areas Central Son Bou, San Jaime and Torre Soli Nou, all of which blend into one another. The longest distance between two points is 47 kilometres, so hiring a car is a good way to explore the island. Mahon International airport is a short 5 kilometres from the capital Mahon.
