Notaresco has a population of 6,833 and is located on a hill at 250 metres above sea level. It is in the centre of the Vomano valley, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees.  Although there is evidence of an earlier settlement, the layout of the town is typically medieval with tall houses forming the city walls. Nowadays, Notaresco has developed into a lively, modern town but still maintains its typical, historic heart. The town boasts plenty of shops and services including general stores, mini-markets, butchers, green grocers, bakers, newsagents, hairdressers, beauty salons, bank and post office.

Notaresco's bars, restaurants and pizzerias provide plenty of opportunity for residents to mingle and integrate with the locals.
