La Huerta, is a three bedroom traditional Spanish Finca rebuilt in 2000 which is located just outside the village of Júzcar. It sits in 9774 sq metres of secluded terraced land. The property has 3 spacious bedrooms set on the 1st floor with the master bedroom benefiting from a separate external staircase. The Kitchen is open planned with a family and dining area leading to 2 other spacious reception rooms with an open staircase running through the middle reception room. The porch leading off of the Kitchen has ample space for alfresco dining or simply relaxing under the night sky star gazing with just the gentle sound of the Rio Zuas running below. The terraces which date from the time of the Moors boast plenty of scope for a budding gardener or horticulturist to explore their creativity whether it be a Vegetable or landscape garden or both. The jewel of the garden is the Acequia which is an ancient method of land irrigation and by the use of modern subterranean pipework allows water to flow to sluices located along the top terrace, these sluices can be opened to allow water to flow via pipework to the terraces below irrigating the many Fruit and Nut trees along with the Garden. At present some terraces are wild meadows which attract Bees and a multitude of wildlife. Júzcar is known as the Aldea Azul (Blue village) it has Shops, Bars, Restaurants, Hotel, self catering apartments and a Municipal Swimming pool and is located in the outstandingly beautiful Serrania de Ronda, the Serrania boasts of some of the most beautiful Pueblos Blancos in Andalucia, which can be reached on foot by the many Senderos (footpaths) and Caminos Antiquos (ancient roads) that are in the area. The nearest town is Ronda approximately 30 minutes drive, Ronda is known as the Queen of the Pueblos Blancos and is steeped in ancient history and is ranked among one of the most beautiful towns in Spain the main thoroughfare boasts many excellent Restaurants and retail outlets it also hosts the modern local amenities of a new Hospital, Supermarkets, Banks, Builders Merchants and Garages. The coastal town of San Pedro De Alcantara is a 1 hour drive and Estepona and Marbella 1 hour 15 minutes. Sevilla and Granada are 2 hours.
