Casa Carlo is a 150 sq.mt. independent  two-level home with a beautiful view across the valley to the historic centre of Arpino, a medieval hilltop town only 90 minutes from Rome.  Set in 500 sq.mt. of partially walled garden, the house has been fully restored structurally and externally, leaving only the interior fit-out to be done by the purchaser.
 
Situated in a panoramic location in a small tranquil rural community called Vignepiane, near the local church and in a prominent and luminous position, Casa Carlo is configured over two floors.  The currently envisaged layout for the ground floor has a large living room to the right of the main entrance;  to the left there is the dining room predisposed to include an open-plan kitchen. A small guest bathroom completes the proposed layout on this level.

However as the interior is still under construction, this layout cold be modified according to the purchaser's needs.  For example, the dressing room could be eliminated and the floor plan modified to include a third small bedroom.

Casa Carlo benefits from excellent road access with restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and services only a few minutes drive away.  Rome, Naples and their respective airports can be reached in around 90 minutes.

ARPINO AND THE CIOCIARIA

Arpino is one of the major medieval hilltop towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy.

The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer. And at the other extreme of temperature, although Arpino itself is temperate, less than an hour's drive brings you to the winter ski slopes.

Often overlooked, both by tourists and by those foreigners in search of an Italian home, in favour of the more publicized regions of Tuscany and Umbria, the Ciociaria remains largely an unspoilt gem with beautiful scenery and medieval hilltop towns.
