Anyone who is looking for a property in Spain may be drawn to Tenerife for a number of reasons, but now the island has added one more to the list – its popularity among film and TV producers and photographers.
The Tenerife Tourism Corporation noted that there are many reasons that producers are attracted to the destination, including its year-round good weather, variety of landscapes and accessibility.
All of these things may also appeal to those looking for property in Spain and visitors could even visit some of the most popular filming locations.
Among them is Teide National Park – a Unesco World Heritage Site – which is home to the Teide-Pico Viejo stratovolcano.
Standing at 3,718 m tall, it is the third-largest volcanic structure in the world and the area surrounding it has been a national park since 1954.
According to the Tenerife Film Commission, the island is regularly used as the backdrop for TV programmes and commercials, with 531 days of filming taking place here during 2010.
