Normandy’s Vintage Car Parade is set to take place from June 17th to 21st, offering those who are interested in historic vehicles as well as French property a chance to combine the two.

The event is the fourth annual appearance of the cars, which will see automobiles dating from the earliest days of motor manufacturing to the 1970s on parade through the towns and villages of the region.

French property seekers looking to buy in the area will be able to follow the cars around and may get a feel for the landscape, culture and architecture as they do so, all of which may inform their search for the ideal purchase.

Those keen to buy in France have been able to take advantage of a recent market downturn to negotiate discounts.

Devon couple Lorraine and Norman Tuck told the Financial Times recently that they were able to negotiate a 15 per cent cut on the asking price on a home they ended up acquiring for €100,000 (£86,000).
