Tourists still flock to Italy property in the heart of one of the world’s most romantic cities – Venice.

Italy property located in Venice can offer visitors a truly unique city experience that few other destinations can compare to, according to the Italian State Tourist Board.

Alessandra Smith, spokesperson for the Italian State Tourist Board, comments: "It is a beautiful city and all over Italy and all over the world, Venice is definitely special.

"Because of the way that it is built on water and its architecture, there’s an element of fragility to it that makes it a fascination."

Eager visitors planning on visiting the city in summer 2010 may want to consider booking up their Italy property earlier than usual.

Enrico Mingardi, who is in charge of public transport for Venice, recently told Italian newspaper La Nuova Venezia that a cap should be placed on the number of tourists permitted to enter the city in order to protect its historical landmarks.
