If it is heat that you’re looking for then look no further than America’s East Coast. The National weather Service had issued an extreme heat warning as many struggle to cope with the soaring temperatures.

The weather service has also predicted that the temperature could reach 115 degrees in some areas, stating “These triple-digit temperatures are forecast to remain in place across the eastern U.S. through Saturday,”

The warning have come as the current heat wave broke 55 record highs and tied with 60 further records around the Midwest and Ohio Valley areas. People are being warned against any strenuous exercise outdoors as air quality has been given a code red alert. This means that the pollution levels in the air could be deemed unhealthy for the general population.

Many tourists and locals alike have been trying to beat the heat by heading for the coast, and taking frequent dips in the sea. Local indoors attractions have also been reaping the benefits of having air conditioning, with one theatre advert reading “We have AC. Who cares what’s playing.”
