If you are planning on working in New Zealand then this may be of interest to you – the average salary for estate agents in New Zealand has risen by 11.2% to $77,197 since January of this year.

Those in the community service and development sectors can also expect better wages; those in managerial and co-ordinator roles for the council had the largest increase in salary, with a 19.5% rise. Their average salary is now at $65,508, which is lower than the property sector, but still very good. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the highest average salary was in the mining industry, the largest industry in New Zealand, at $111,378 per year.

Seek.co.nz, an online job advertiser has revealed that the average salary amongst all the jobs advertised is $72,277, that’s $2,141 more than in January of this year.

General manager of Seek.co.nz, Janet Faulding says that the gradual growth over the past six months is great for those who wish to enter new professions to earn more money, “For employers looking to retain good staff, now is an ideal time to look at salary packages. If budgets are unable to stretch to cover pay rises, why not consider non-monetary perks such as extra annual leave or flexible hours to show your employees that you value their skills and want to keep them?”
