Staying in a property in France was one of the top holiday choices last year new research has shown, with Paris proving to be a particularly popular destination.
Travel website Viator.com, which helps people find and book activities and experiences during a break, revealed that Paris was its number one holiday location in 2010.
Highlighting some of the activities that people staying in property in France can enjoy, the website selected a Moulin Rouge experience, private tours in 2CVs – a classic French vehicle – and enjoying a meal with a Parisian family.
Of course, anyone staying in property in Paris will not be short of things to do, with world-renowned attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre gallery and the Sacre Couer Basilica all to be found in the city.
Meanwhile, those who would like to explore a different region of the country may find that the new routes offered by airline CityJet are of use.
The carrier will be running summer flights to Avignon and Toulon, it announced earlier this week.
