The Lille Street Market could prove a draw for many people to visit property in FranceA night of madness awaits people who stay in property in France‘s Lille area on September 4th-5th, according to the French Government Tourist Office.

The tourism organisation explains that those two dates are scheduled for this year’s Lille Street Market, or the Grande Braderie de Lille.

Starting at 14:00 local time on the Saturday and lasting through until 23:00 on Sunday, the two-day event consists of a number of traditional celebrations.

Among the traditions is the fact that the 33-hour schedule for the market continues uninterrupted through the night.

Nearly two million people are expected to attend during that time, covering about 100 km of street and stalls.

A further tradition comes in the form of the mussels and chips tasting, as different chefs compete to see whose mussels will prove most popular.

People heading to property in France‘s market-party hotspot may want to familiarise themselves with the pronunciation of “moules frites” in order to be able to join in the tasting.
