In an article for the Telegraph, Kathy Arnold highlighted some of the sights that people should seek out on a trip to Paris.
She recommended heading to the Latin Quarter, where you can find street cafes, museums, galleries and churches "often with surprising treasures".
Ms Arnonld made mention of the Pantheon, which is where Leon Foucault performed his experiment to prove that the earth rotates and where Hugo, Voltaire and Marie Curie are buried.
If you are staying in property in France, you may want to return to the area on more than one occasion, with attractions such as the Musee National du Moyen Age – or the Museum of the Middle Ages – and the Jardin des Plantes, a 70-acre botanical garden, waiting to be explored.
Among the different areas that you can explore within the green space are the alpine garden, the botanicals school and the iris and perennials garden.
