Those keen to buy a Spanish property may be able to grab a bargain at a newly-announced auction.

Palma Property Auctions, which is based in the Mallorcan capital, has revealed that it is to hold such a sale on July 28th 2009, something that may interest those looking for on a bargain.

A mixture of residential and commercial properties will be up for grabs, with homes “ranging from apartments in the Old Town of Palma, to villas near the coast, all with reserve prices that would have been unthinkable 12 months ago,” the company stated.

Such a sale may be seen as a demonstration of the way the Spanish market has moved since the end of the boom, with the fall in sales numbers helping to drive down prices and providing many bargains as a result.

Property Abroad’s online search figures for May confirmed that Spain is still the most popular country among those seeking overseas purchases.
