Brits who own property in Palamos, Spain could spend their Christmas break to the country watching Olympic sailing teams compete in the area’s regatta.
Set to be held from December 17th to December 22nd, the Christmas Race will take place in the waters off the coast of the Costa Brava, an area popular with Brits looking to invest in a Spanish property.
The Spanish tourism website noted that in the past, the sailing event has attracted Olympic medal winning yachtsmen, as well as both world and European championship sailors.
The event has also been used as training for the Olympics eight times, it said.
Brits keen to take a day trip from their property in Spain and check out the regatta should head to the Club de Vela Palamos to catch all the action.
While in the area, they can also keep the fun going with a visit to the La Fosca water park, which is near Palamos.
