Traditional Mediterranean holiday hotspots will continue to be popular with Britons, an expert has claimed, something that could be beneficial for those looking to invest in Spanish property.
Rob Innes, the head of marketing for flight comparison site Skyscanner, has commented that Spain is "unlikely to lose its top spot" as the UK’s favourite destination, despite the recent fluctuations in the value of the euro against the pound.
Spanish property aimed at tourists may continue to be a good investment, as five towns in the country featured in Skyscanner’s top ten locations searched for in 2009.
Mr Innes remarked: "There’s no denying that the pound has been severely hammered by the euro however, there are still plenty of good value holiday destinations to be found within the eurozone."
Meanwhile, seekers of Spanish property on the Costa del Sol may be able to take advantage of cut-price deals on offer at present, according to Spanish Hot Properties.
