Property in France could serve as the venue for Britons hoping to Seize the DaysProperty in France could allow more Britons to "Seize the Days" in response to a new campaign from travel guides publisher Lonely Planet.

The organisation has found that many people do not go out at all in the weekends of a typical month.

More people make use of just two of their eight weekend days each month, leading the travel firm to launch a campaign encouraging them to remedy the situation.

As part of Seize the Days, Lonely Planet is providing ideas for weekend trips which could include visits to property in France.

Some of its ideas are located in Europe, while others are days out within the UK – but all involve Brits making the most of the time that is given to them.

"We are very concerned that people have got lots of time on their hands that they don't quite know what to do with," says Lonely Planet writer and spokesman Tom Hall.
