While food-lovers may long have headed to property in France in order to indulge their palates, some areas have not catered so fully for those with a taste for music.

In the Aquitaine region, that is about to be put right as a schedule of ten concerts gets underway on May 8th.

Running through until July 24th, the tour is due to visit ten different locations in the Bay of Arcachon, according to Tourisme Aquitaine.

The first event on the itinerary hits Arcachon beach itself, where the sound of Bartok, Mozart and Haydn will rise into the air from an orchestra set up on the sand.

Entitled Les escapades musicales, the ten-concert schedule is called "the most natural of festivals" by the tourism organisation.

Property in France‘s Aquitaine region is surrounded by picturesque and well protected scenery, with the coastline itself managed since 1967 by MIACA, an inter-ministerial commission tasked with protecting the Atlantic coastline.
