The Daytona International Speedway in Florida has a seated capacity of approximately 240,000 and is home to one of the biggest motorsports competitions in the world, the NASCAR NEXTEL series.

A property in Florida could potentially place buyers at the epicentre of American motorsports and make accessing such a prestigious sporting event much easier.

In 2007, the Daytona 500 prize money exceeded $18 million (£11 million) with race winner Kevin Harvick pocketing more than $1.5 million (£940,000).

The international significance of the event is widely appreciated amongst hardcore stock car racing fans, while motor racing has become synonymous with Formula One in Europe.

Unlike Formula One, the oval race track in Florida is specifically designed to allow the drivers to take corners at near full speed and be visible to spectators throughout the race.

This year’s event begins on February 14th and tickets to the event cost anywhere between $55 (£34) and $1050 (£660).
