In the interest of consumer safety, we vet our Private Sellers by speaking to them on the
phone first and so payment over the telephone is an efficient way to do this.
You may advertise any type of listing from a house, to a commercial building or a piece of land.
Any property added to Rightmove Overseas would need to have a permanent feature to it. Fixed caravans or
boats that come with a permanent mooring, would be allowed. A bus wouldn’t be allowed by itself but
would be allowed if it comes with a permanent base (i.e. that it’s expected to be stationary at or return to
frequently).
We have a selection of enhanced listings products available which are at an additional cost to your standard property listing and can help your property stand out from the crowd. More information is available upon request.
Yes, it is down to you to update and maintain your property listing and changes can be made at any time to any aspect of the advert. You can access our system online 24 hours a day from any location. Please note you will need to load and manage your advert using a desktop computer or laptop as our loading system is not currently compatible with tablets or phones.
Our system will allow you to either ‘bulk upload images’ or add them one at a time. You can add as many photos as you like to your advert. We recommend anything between 7 and 30 images in total. All photos need to be in .jpeg format, ideally no larger than 1MB each and a minimum of 656 x 437 pixels in size.
Once you have completed our online contract form and we have received payment from you, you will be given access to the member’s area of our website called ‘Rightmove Admin’. This is where you can create your property advert. We will supply you with an ‘How to Add a Property’ guide which will offer you step by step instructions on how to upload your property onto the website.
We use an encrypted online system supplied by Barclaycard to take payment and schedule periodic billing, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, once details have been added to the system they cannot be viewed or retrieved. We take monthly payments at the start of each month, if your payment fails you will receive an email from us and we will remove your property advert from our site, it can then be reinstated when subsequent payment is made.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your property will sell.
Rightmove Overseas is visited by over 1 million prospective buyers from all over the world each month, with the majority of visitors coming from the UK. We can provide further information on the levels of interest for properties in specific countries upon request.
To cancel your contract, you are required to provide us with one full calendar months’ notice in writing.
