Algarve-based Portugal property buyers can experience a programme of star-studded events, coming soon to the area.

A number of renowned electronic music artists have announced plans to perform at the Cascatas Golf Resort and the Hilton Vilamoura this year.

Performers including David Guetta, Bob Sinclar and Dimitri from Paris, are all appearing this summer.

The Algarve will also welcome international artists including Fatboy Slim, Roisin Murphy and many others later in the year.

The resort’s head of domestic tourism said: "Receiving musicians of this scale within our resorts demonstrates the true standards of quality our brand withholds."

Food lovers meanwhile can enjoy the best of the region’s produce at the Festival do Marisco in August.

According to Whatsonwhen.com, visitors will be entertained throughout the month by local musicians as they sample artisan food and drink.

The events site says it offers the chance for newcomers to the area to escape the prevalent "fish and chips culture".
