The Portugal property market is flourishing, largely thanks to high-end investments from rich clientele, it has been reported.

Recent high-profile developments include Andre Jourdan’s luxury Portugal property complex The Residences in the Algarve, which was lent the royal touch after Prince Edward stayed there on a trip to present Duke of Edinburgh Awards to local children.

Stuart Robson and his wife Denise are certainly fans of Portugal property. Mr Robson tells the Daily Mail: "Portugal was becoming very much our second home, and we had been looking for four or five years to buy something."

Their selectiveness paid off, after they invested approximately £500,000 in one of The Residences’ luxury apartments, with Mr Robson commenting: "With the concierge service here, it’s like having your own apartment in a five-star hotel."

The Residences complex is just one such development amid many new top-end Portugal property projects planned or currently under construction in the ever-popular Algarve region, according to the newspaper.
