The best time for bargain hunters to buy Costa del Sol property is now, a real estate firm based in Spain has said.

Spanishhotproperties.com has suggested that those who are thinking of buying Costa del Sol property should act quickly because larger investor groups are poised to re-enter the market and snap up a large number of homes.

Marketing and operations manager Susana Suspenda said that the market in the region is currently slow because demand is substantially exceeded by supply.

But, she noted: "[The] Costa del Sol is still where the majority of people want to be, with the widest choice of lifestyle anywhere in the world."

Ms Suspenda predicted that many investor firms will make their moves in September but some will start investing before that.
