A new sign that the Costa del Sol property market may be much more durable during the downturn than some have suggested may have emerged with the launch of a new website.

Andalucian Dream Homes has started a new portal for buyers in the region, stating that it is "100 per cent committed" to the market.

Commenting on buying patterns in the current Costa del Sol property market, marketing director at the firm Adam Godwin said: "There are many clients looking to pick up a bargain property in this environment and we’re here to help them find their dream southern Spain property."

He described the market as one that offers some "stunning bargains".

Another company still keen to extol the virtues of the region is Spanish Hot Properties.

The firm has stated that while the double-digit price rises of the past few years are not happening now and that the market is "cyclical", the status of the area as a tourist honeypot means it can "flourish forever".
