Property in France's Dordogne Valley can now be reached directly from LondonLondon dwellers could find property in France‘s Dordogne Valley easier to reach this summer as the capital’s airline, CityJet, begins a new route to the region.

The Midi-Pyrenees regional tourism committee notes the creation of the new route, which links London with Brive.

As a result, UK residents will have three chances each week to fly to a "popular leisure destination" that has not previously been directly accessible.

The tourism body adds that Brive and the Dordogne Valley represent "one of the UK’s best-loved French holiday destinations".

Flights are available until September 12th, but visitors may want to head to property in France‘s Midi-Pyrenees area between July 17th and 22nd for the chance to witness the Tour de France.

A total of five stages of the event are due to take place in the mountainous region, honouring the centenary of the first stages to be held in the Pyrenees mountains.
