From March 27th, two airlines are set to offer more flights to the Alsace region of France, which could improve access to property in France.
BMI and Swiss are due to introduce routes to the European airport at Basle/Mulhouse from London Heathrow and Manchester.
And those who want to visit their property in France could find that the journey is relatively cheap, with return fares starting from £89 for flights departing from Heathrow, tourism-alsace.com revealed.
Meanwhile, the organisation pointed out that easyJet began flying to the destination from Edinburgh in 2010, making it easier for people in Scotland to gain access to the Alsace region.
The tourism body stressed that there are many reasons to visit the area, with its "majestic Vosges Mountains, sweeping Alsatian plain and intricate network of rivers and canals" among the natural attractions.
Golfers may also want to plan a trip to Alsace, with six golf courses on offer, including the Alsace Golf Club in Rouffach and 18-hole Golf Club des Bouleaux in Wittelsheim.
