Homeowners and anyone considering a purchase in Cyprus will welcome the re-introduction in December of a flight from Stansted to Larnaca by Cyprus Airways.

Cyprus Airways had to drop its Stansted-Larnaca route last year, after operating it for four years. The relaunch means it becomes the only airline offering this service, which it will run twice weekly, year-round – Thomson Airways offers this route in the summer only.

Cyprus’s flagship carrier also flies 16 times weekly to London Heathrow, a route also served by British Airways and Aegean Airlines. Other options for reaching Larnaca include easyJet from Gatwick and Monarch from Luton.

Located on the south coast of Cyprus, Larnaca is the third largest town on the island and one of the most popular coastal resorts. It is also the home to Cyprus’s second busiest port as well as the island’s main international airport, for which a new terminal, with the capacity to handle 7.5-million passengers a year, is being built. Larnaca has motorway links with Cyprus’s two other resorts popular with expats, Limassol and Paphos to the west.
