Property in Spain's Balearic island of Majorca could be perfect for a little leather shopping, according to travel agent Thomas Cook.

The travel firm is scheduling more flights to the island from Southampton for summer 2011.

From May 28th to September 17th of next year, every Saturday, aircraft will depart bound for Palma, the company says.

This gives travellers of all types the chance to head to an island that has long been among the most popular destinations for UK holidaymakers.

Chief executive officer Ian Derbyshire says: "With its mix of beaches, great weather, fantastic food and entertainment, Majorca is a fantastic option for families, couples and group holidays."

People heading to property in Spain could also find Majorca to be the ideal place to indulge a desire for shopping, with leather shoes, handbags and wallets among its best-known products.

Mercado de Inca, in the north of the island, is one destination recommended for shoppers thanks to its nickname – "the city of leather".
