Property in Italy and France is playing host to more winter sports enthusiasts as demand from skiers increases, it is noted.

Ian Davis, product director at winter sports tour operator Crystal Ski, claims that the two countries are among a number seeing growth in demand from skiers at present.

Alongside them are the US, Switzerland, Andorra and Bulgaria, with "destinations across the board" adding to the trend.

But it could be property in Italy and France that is most in demand with skiers, as Mr Davis reports double-digit growth in interest for the two destinations.

"We have seen a solid volume return this week as we trade in line with target and also increased our year-on-year holiday sales," he adds.

He predicts further increases in interest into the winter months, leading Crystal Ski to revise upwards its expectations of activity during the 2010-11 winter sports peak season, in line with other operators in the industry.
