More travellers visiting property in SpainThe number of people taking flights to Spain increased at several of the country's airports, the latest figures for European air travel show.

It seems that more travellers decided to visit a property in Spain during February this year, when compared with the same month in 2010.

Among the destinations to see the largest increase in passenger traffic were Tenerife with a 13.3 per cent rise, Fuerteventura – which experienced a 34.1 per cent increase – and Gran Canaria, which saw 11.3 per cent more people land there.

On the Spanish mainland, Barcelona also recorded a boost to its passenger numbers, increasing by 14.1 per cent compared to a year earlier.

Earlier this week, Lucinda Baring wrote for the Telegraph that there are many hidden sights to see in Barcelona for those staying in a property in Spain.

Among them are the Santa Maria del Mar church and the CaixaForum contemporary art gallery, she revealed.
