People searching for property in France may want to take note of one publication's recommendations about the most beautiful areas of the country to visit.
Top of the list is the Loire Valley, which Global Grasshopper described as "a fairytale France that time forgot".
According to the travel site, visitors will discover a valley "lined with culturally and historically important architecture which has earned it a World Heritage Site status".
Numerous chateaux are situated in the area, including the Chambord chateau, which was constructed during the reign of Francois I in the 16th century as a hunting lodge.
Those staying in French property in the Loire Valley may also want to make time to visit some of the vineyards, which are well-known for producing fine wines.
Meanwhile, Global Grasshopper also recommended visiting Mont Saint-Michel – stating it is the country's "best-loved landmark" after the Eiffel Tower – the Cote d'Azur and Giverny while visiting France.
