One name synonymous with upmarket design, Giorgio Armani, has launched a new venture for the creation of Italy property.

The designer is developing a site of six buildings in the heart of Rome in partnership with developer Europa Risorse, the Times reports.

The original development has been turned into 62 apartments and Armani pays regular visits to the project to ensure that designs are going to plan.

A communal garden will be present at the site, under which a number of Roman finds from the building work will be situated.

Prospective buyers of these Italian properties will be able to have a consultation with an interior designer to ensure that their new purchase meets their needs and desires – and if Armani’s styling does not appeal, then other interior design options can be followed, the paper says.

Buyers looking for their own Italy property may currently be in a favourable position, a recent report suggested, as, according to the Guardian, a buyers’ market currently exists.
