Anyone jetting off to Mallorca to stay in property in Spain will not be disappointed with the cuisine on offer.
This is according to Anna Nicholas, a journalist based on the island, who noted that there is a "fantastically wide range" of dishes available.
She stated that Palma is excellent if you are looking for variety, with the Mallorcan capital boasting everything from "sophisticated fine dining in the old town through to small and authentic fish restaurants".
However, she pointed out that those staying in property in Spain should expect to pay close to British prices for a good meal.
Ms Nicholas commented: "For best value local fare, my advice is always to go where the locals eat."
People staying in a property in Mallorca should look out for local specialities during their stay, including sobrasada – a type of pork sausage with hot red peppers – and pa amb oli, a favourite snack among locals that consists of bread drizzled with olive oil and often topped with tomatoes, ham or cheese.
