Property in France could allow golfers to join in a charity tournamentProperty in France‘s southern region of Brittany could serve as a base for golfers keen to take part in a charity tournament this October.

Beneath the autumnal sunshine of the French region, golfers are due to take to courses across the area on October 15th to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The French Government Tourist Office suggests taking a drive to the region, rather than flying, which may be welcomed by sports fans who are not keen to check their beloved clubs into the hold of an aeroplane.

And with the event only scheduled to last one day, it provides a perfect excuse for a quick dash to the continent or a leisurely break involving other activities.

"If you’d like to stay a little longer, you can easily extend your break before or after the event with a night or two," the tourism office advises.

Other attractions it recommends in Brittany include the ancient countryside and quiet beaches, as well as "melancholic moors" that could remind many Brits of Bronte country back home.
