Staying in a property in France for a fly fishing break can be a relaxing experience, one journalist has commented.
Writing for the Telegraph, Charles Rangeley-Wilson noted that fly fishing in a rural region of France can be a much more relaxing experience than following the crowds back in England.
He stated that the manor property in France, with vast grounds that include a river full of trout, where he stayed "has already become the place I would most like to live in the whole world".
The land surrounding the house span 80 acres of wetlands, streams, woodland and meadows, providing the perfect spot for some fly fishing and relaxation.
And Mr Rangeley-Wilson pointed out that this is far from the only location in France where you can enjoy such peace and quiet with your fishing rod.
He listed rivers in the Provence, Correze and Franche Compte regions of the country where the sport is also popular.
The fly fishing season on France generally runs from April until September, giving keen fishermen plenty of opportunities to try and land the catch of the day.
