French property could offer a chance for Britons to make their dreams a reality, if they decided to emigrate to the French Alps.

A survey by experience website Intotheblue.co.uk has found that 61 per cent of respondents would like to leave the UK because they dislike how the country is run.

Over a third of people in the UK intend on leaving the country before 2020.

The same proportion of people say that they would also like to climb a mountain in the next ten years.

French property could allow them to achieve two ambitions at once by emigrating to a country with mountains such as the Alps to climb.

Speaking about the survey’s findings, Rob Holmes, e-commerce and marketing manager of Intotheblue.co.uk, says: "In honesty, I think there’s a higher chance that 17 per cent of the population will be moon-walking courtesy of Richard Branson than a third of the population will emigrate come 2020."

Figures from the Office of National Statistics show nearly 400,000 people moved overseas in 2007 and France remains one of the top five destinations for Brits moving abroad.
