Tuscany offers outstanding food and a range of exciting festivities, it has been stated.

Writing in the Press and Journal, travel correspondent Bess Mason said that the annual Castel del Piano Palio horse race is "no less passionate" than its equivalent in Siena, with three hours of excited build up and costumed parades before the race itself.

She added that Siena is worth spending a whole week visiting for its historic architecture and art, while commenting that some of the best memories of the region were of its food.

Such attractions may tempt many to consider buying Tuscany property, so they can sample these features themselves.

Earlier this month, the Independent’s travel writer Tom Buckley said that Florence had more attractions than could be seen in a fortnight.

Those keen on buying Tuscany property may also find this a good reason to do so, as it will create enough opportunities to see the various sights of the city.
