New routes to property in Portugal from the country's flag-carrying airline TAP include a flight path to serve the north of the UK at Manchester Airport.
Five flights per week are due to commence in 2011, with an additional sixth entry into the schedule when the summer rush begins.
The route is one of six new schedules created by TAP to carry people from across Europe to property in Portugal.
Others service the Austrian and Greek capital cities Vienna and Athens, as well as Dusseldorf, Bordeaux and Dubrovnik.
Through the expansion of its network, TAP hopes to see more freight and passenger traffic carried to America, Africa and Europe on its flights.
In recent days, TAP has also outlined a winter promotion offering residents of property in Portugal the chance to reach destinations including Copenhagen, Prague, Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm at special ticket prices departing from Lisbon and inclusive of airport taxes.
