British indie-rock band newcomers Florence and the Machine have made huge strides in the music industry over the last few years and will be bringing its distinctive sound to Lisbon on March 16th, which may appeal to Brits intending to find a property in Portugal.

After winning Best Album at the UK’s Brit Awards in 2010 and performing to some of the biggest crowds in the country, the band hit the road and is set to visit Lisbon’s Aula Magna as part of its Cosmic Love Tour.

Londoner Florence Welch’s band got together after she performed solo in venues around London. By 2006, she was capturing attention with her powerful voice, which in turn led to her winning the Critics Choice award at the 2009 Brit Awards.

Its album, Lungs, stormed the charts last year and the single You Got the Love reached number five in the UK.
