Eurotunnel offers a way of reaching property in France that satisfies more passengers than any other, according to a new survey.
The UK Institute of Customer Service measures customer satisfaction twice a year across a number of travel organisations.
Included in the study are major airlines and ferry services, along with companies in other sectors.
According to Eurotunnel, its passengers ranked it the highest in transport with a score of 83 per cent.
This also ranks favourably across the board, compared with automotive, hospitality and retail brand leaders.
Eurotunnel adds that British customers are important to it, as four out of five passengers who use its Shuttle service to travel between property in France and the UK originate from the island nation.
Passenger figures for the Shuttle service – which carries cars, coaches and trucks – show an estimated 6.9 people traversed the English Channel using that method in 2009, while 9.2 million passed through the Channel Tunnel on Eurostar trains.
