Etnafest promotes music, culture and property in Italy's Sicily island regionProperty in Italy‘s island region of Sicily could be on the agenda for Etnafest, which gets underway this month.

Scheduled to run from May to December, Etnafest is centred on the community of Catania but promotes all aspects of culture, music, entertainment and property in Sicily.

The island’s tourism bureau explains that it aims to "attract tourists, bring together the powers of civil society and promote cohesion between various territorial components".

While scouting out property in Sicily, a journey to the heart of the island could allow Britons to break away from Etnafest and get a taste of regular life within the wider community.

There are also opportunities to see restored examples of property in Italy‘s biblical past, including the city of Morgantina in the province of Enna at the very heart of the island.

Dating back to the fourth century BC, the influences of Syracuse on Sicily’s south-east coastline are apparent in Morgantina’s restored Hellenistic architecture.
