Shop till you drop on a stay in property in Portugal's capitalLisbon is a great place for shopping, one journalist has claimed, after spending a long weekend in the city.

Writing for the Telegraph, Evie Dow commented that she had expected to "do little more than sightsee" during her trip, but was drawn in by the range of shops on offer in the Portuguese capital.

Anyone staying in property in Portugal may want to follow her lead and spend a day or two browsing the goods on offer.

"The lovely traditional products on sale amid the fading grandeur of the least expensive capital in western Europe feel covetably contemporary," she stated.

Ms Dow recommended checking out the goods on sale along some of the main shopping streets near Rossio square during a stay in property in Portugal.

She commented that there is everything on sale from handmade gloves to jewellery and linen bedding.

And those who tire of shopping may want to visit the Mude design museum, which features exhibits of fashion and quirky product design. It is open every day except Monday.
