Within the park you can see remnants of a long-lost city, most likely from the Roman era. Among the ruins you can see the Odeon, a 2nd-century Amphitheatre carved from limestone, where locals would gather to watch shows.

If history is your thing, you’ll also want to visit the nearby necropolis. There you can see burial tombs that date back to the 4th-century BC, which are carved into rocks.

Paphos Harbour

Not too far along from the Archaeological Park, you can visit Paphos Harbour. A walk along the front is an enjoyable pastime for locals. The harbour is home to lots of cafes, bars and restaurants which overlook the sea. Perfect for enjoying traditional Cypriot food with a view.

Old Town

Paphos was named joint-European Capital of Culture in 2017 and as a result, the old town benefited from a makeover. Not to mention the €25 million that came with the tag, the city’s property and rental markets also benefited.
The old town is home to the Municipal Market. There you’ll find local shops which sell everything from fruit and veg, to pottery and handmade jewellery.
