Homeowners in Cyprus can now brag that the dazzling Mediterranean waters they can see from their terrace don’t just look fantastic, but they’re clean too. The latest European Environment Agency’s ‘Bathing Water Quality’ report confirmed that all bathing sites in Cyprus have excellent water quality – an accolade awarded to just two other destinations, namely Malta and Luxembourg.

“The 57 Blue Flag beaches are certainly a big attraction of Cyprus,” said Lucie Robson, an expat and author of CyprusBuyingGuide.com. “And the government here is making concerted efforts to protect its coastline and maintain the high quality of its beaches. I, for one, appreciate having a nice beach on my doorstep, where I can go to unwind at the end of the day!”

If you fancy a home next to one of Cyprus’s world-class beaches, here a taste of what’s waiting for you.
