Buyers are still keen on the Costa del Sol property market, it has been stated.
Costa del Sol property firm Andalucian Dream Homes has revealed in a survey that 74 per cent of respondents are still keen to purchase a property in southern Spain.
The Marbella-based company said the survey also showed that 63 per cent of those interviewed in the survey are keen to buy such property to bolster their pensions.
Only the recent reduction in the value of the pound has been holding buyers back, the agency commented, with group marketing director Adam Godwin commenting: "The numbers registering an interest in Spanish property through our website show that desire and demand is returning."
Costa del Sol property seekers may benefit from the current increase in distressed sales taking place in Spain.
This trend – caused by homeowners selling quickly to avoid losing everything amid a rise in repossessions – is driving down asking prices, marketing and operations manager for Spanish Hot Properties Susana Suspenda said last week.
