The Jewel of the West Coast, Langebaan enjoys a unique lifestyle. The 30,000 hectare West Coast National Park. is a bird-watchers paradise with over 300 species of birds found in the lagoon waters. The park is most busy during the spring flower season (August to September) when the wild flowers are in bloom.

For the sporty-type there are miles of safe beaches where water sports, including kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, diving, fishing, or sun tanning are the order of the day. Golfers have not been forgotten – the legendary Gary Player’s Black Knight Design turned the Langebaan Country Estate’s golf course into a high-quality yet truly testing layout which has proved to be an incontestable success. Of course, the 19th hole remains a firm favourite!

Evening pleasures include several restaurants and the ever-popular Mykonos Casino. Many a proposal of marriage has been made – and accepted – during early morning or evening strolls on the pristine beaches!
