Those keen on heading to the south of France to look at French Riviera property may be able to take advantage of a newly-announced cut in budget airline prices.

Low-cost carrier easyJet has revealed that between March 1st and June 30th it will be cutting prices on all services by 25 per cent for those booking this week.

This could help increase the number of people flying to the French Riviera.

The airline operates services to the Riviera destinations of Montpellier, Marseille and Nice, the last of which flies from East Midlands Airport and was launched last month

Also in December, French Riviera Cruise Club president Alain Gumiel said that 2009 will be an "exciting" year for cruises as new hubs were opening up on the Cote D’Azur at Golfe Juan and Antibes.

He was speaking at the announcement that the Seatrade Med exhibition 2010 will be held in Cannes, which may also help encourage more French Riviera property investment.
