Property in Spain‘s Balearic Islands offers more than just a party getaway, according to the Spanish Tourism Office.

Market analyst Carmen Hernandez Gomez explains that her own visit to Ibiza came as something of a surprise.

"It is a destination that will surprise everyone – it surprised me – as it is not what you expect at all," she says.

"People who visit definitely change their perception."

The tourism body is still working on attracting more people to property in Spain‘s most infamous Balearic Island for an opinion-changing getaway.

Ms Hernandez Gomez adds that Ibiza is facing an increased number of inward tourists arriving by plane in the coming months – one of the few Spanish Mediterranean destinations where this is the case.

For anyone planning a trip to the island, she recommends enjoying the cuisine and the sunsets, walking around Ibiza Old Town and trying on the local traditional dress.
