Many Brits staying in property in France head to Chamonix every year, with one tourism official claiming that there are many reasons why visitors flock to the destination.
Claire Burnet, from the Office de Tourisme de Chamonix, explained that there are a diverse range of attractions for people staying in property in France to enjoy.
"Chamonix is a pretty unique destination, lots of history, lots of great skiing and adventure sports, a thriving music and art scene and a very multi-cultural population," she stated.
Ms Burnet added that as well as taking to the slopes, visitors can go climbing, practice their photography or try their hand at painting or sketching the beautiful scenery.
Another reason for Chamonix's popularity is the wide range of facilities, she continued, noting that there is something on offer to suit a range of budgets.
Earlier this month, Bing UK revealed that Chamonix is the most searched-for French ski resort on its British search engine.
